Before a workout or after; With a friend, the dog, or alone; Breakfast or after dinner? Whenever or where ever, Mochi are a fun way to sweeten snack time. What’s your favorite flavor?
If this isn’t your first time here then you probably know at least a couple things about me. But, just in case it is your first time stopping by (HI!) then all you really need to know is that I really love food.
I love cooking food, I love photographing food and, most of all, I love EATING food!
With all this love for food one may assume that I am surrounded by the tastiest, prettiest and freshest food all the time. After all, cooking is pretty much my job. right?
So wrong! Oh man, it is so much more than that, you guys.
In fact, some days (like today!) there is no cooking at all. On days like today, I write and edit and (if I’m lucky) sneak in a nice long (or short) run. These are the days when I need a fun snack (or two) to get me through the endless edits, self doubt and writers block.
My new favorite summer snack? My/Mo Mochi
Truth be told, I have been eating these sweet little ice cream treats for years. But it wasn’t until the past couple years that I came to appreciate them as a snack rather than a dessert.
At just 110 calories, My/Mo make the perfect post workout treat (if you eat the whole box, on the other hand, that may be dessert). On days when I don’t have the time to workout, these colorful little treats give me that extra something to look forward to (without compromising my date with dessert).
In other words, I can have my cake and eat it too.
Plus, the flavors! You guys, they come in so many flavors!! So far I’ve tried Mango, Cookies n Cream, Green Tea and Strawberry. Not surprising I can’t decide my favorite.
Have you tried Mochi? What’s your favorite flavor?
