This post for Thanksgiving Spiced Wine and Bacon Brussels Sprouts has been sponsored by Louis M. Martini. All thoughts and opinions are my own. This content is intended for readers who are 21 and over.
A time for food, family, and giving thanks, there is no better addition to any holiday table than this Spiced Wine and Bacon Brussels Sprouts. With Louis M. Martini Cabernet Sauvignon as the centerpiece, leave the stress and second-guessing of wine pairing and menu planning at the door, and Uncork a Great Feast this holiday season.
Is it just me, or does Thanksgiving always seems to sneak up out of nowhere? I mean, one minute it’s Halloween and a half second later Thanksgiving menus need to be planned and wine needs to be chosen. Red? White? Bubbly? I don’t know? I remember the painstaking measures my mom would take when I was little to make sure everything was just right for big holiday dinners.
Older and (usually) wiser than those days as a small child, I like to think I have learned a thing or two from my beautiful mom. Like, accepting help when offered.
You guys, I love anything that will help save me much-needed time and energy. Stretched thin enough (aren’t we all these days) if someone or something offers a helping hand, I take it! This is especially true when it comes to party planning of ALL kinds.
So, today I am here to share with you my favorite helping hand this Thanksgiving, Uncork A Great Feast, a resource for time-saving, simplified ‘home-cooked’ meal solutions for Thanksgiving/Friendsgiving occasions so that we can all spend as much time as possible with our friends and family.
Rather than just tell you guys about this awesome resource, I thought it would be fun to share a couple recipes with you.
The first recipe I wanted to test was the Simple Hot Spiced Wine made with Louis M. Martini Cabernet Sauvignon.
Ingredients in this Hot Spiced Wine
- Louis M. Martini Cabernet Sauvignon
- orange juice, zest, and slices
- apple cider
- whole cloves
- cinnamon sticks
- star anise
Louis M. Martini Cabernet Sauvignon features concentrated flavors including wild berries, plum, licorice, and mocha. The full-bodied mouth-coating texture on the palate leads to a long and graceful finish making it not just a terrific addition to this spiced wine, but also perfect enjoyed by the glass with a warm bacon and Brussels Sprout Salad (below).
The second recipe I chose to try was the Shredded Brussels Sprouts with Bacon. Oh my, you guys. If you need a delicious and super easy side dish for Thanksgiving (or anytime), you will love this 5-ingredient recipe.
Ingredients in these Bacon Brussels Sprouts
- Brussels sprouts
- pine nuts
I have made many Brussels sprouts recipes in my life and this is easily one of my favorites. Leave as is, or dress it up with your favorite veggies, family and friends will go crazy for this salad, too (so make extra!)
