Learn How to Cut a Pineapple into spears, rings, or juicy bite-size pieces with this easy step-by-step guide. No advanced knife skills required – just a cutting board and a sharp chef’s knife.
First, slice off the top of the pineapple approximately 1/2-inch from where the green crown and flesh meet, then rotate it to slice off the bottom.
Stand the pineapple upright, secure it with one hand, and carefully slice away the outer peel, being cautious not to remove too much sweet flesh.
Remove any remaining brown "eyes" with the knife. If making rings, cut them to the desired thickness and remove the core with a round cutter.
To chop into small chunks, halve the cleaned pineapple vertically, then quarter it, removing the fibrous core from each wedge before slicing into desired pieces.
