I few weeks ago, i took a little trip to Wรผrzburg.
Only a few hours north of Munich by train,
I was excited to see what Wรผrzburg had to offer.

Unfortunately, Wรผrzburg failed to impress.
Perhaps not entirely, but I did return home a little disappointed.
Aside from the old buildings, towers, and churches scattered throughout the city,
Wรผrzburg is dirty and a little run down.
and i’ll admit, I prefer the more picturesque tourist cities (generally).

Although I have no regrets about making the trip here,
I also know that I will be living in this country for the next year.
Had I chosen to visit Wรผrzburg on a short holiday,
I would have felt much more disappointed.

With this said, I will also say this-
if you are a traveling with a group of friends,
perhaps you would enjoy Wรผrzburg more than I.
It is full of young people, bars, and drinking.
I was traveling solo,
and I prefer to party with at least one other person-
most the time.

where I stayed:
babelfish youth hostel

For 23 euro/night, I stayed in a 4-bed all girls dorm.
It was clean and bright and included lockers- no lock included.
breakfast was not included, and from what I have heard, not worth the 4 euros.
the doors slam very loudly in the hall way,
which can be bothersome in the middle of the night if you’re a light sleeper like me.
the best part is that it is located right across the street from the main train station,
and the entire staff was insanely friendly.

Too bad you didn't go after our trip to the Beerfest, then you would have had some people to meet up with!

Oh! This is where I used to live when I lived in Germany! I agree the place is a little run down, and probably more so than it was back when I lived there. But the pictures are SO lovely! I recognize so many places!

No way you were there! That's like 30 minutes from where I live and we go there quite often, cause if you know where to go, it's actually not that bad!
Sad we didn't get to meet!
    Love the pics!

That bridge kind of reminds me of the Charles Bridge in Prague.
