I’m heading here tomorrow AM…

PRAGUE
I will be away until late Saturday.
Wandering the streets of this old city,
sipping on coffee and tea,
and taking way too many photos.
Who’s been to Prague?
Any advice?
recommendations?
I’ll admit, I am a little nervous.
Prague is a pretty huge city,
and once again, I have no tourist book or map,
and i’m traveling alone.
And, this time, I will have to navigate the subways and trams.
my least favorite thing ever.
but, i can do it.

Your posts are so inspiring lately. The fact that you have already made all these day trips by yourself is amazing in itself. Keep giving yourself credit for all the small things because it really is inspiring to read!!
Take care and good luck,
Sonja

Prague is my FAVORITE!! You'll love it! Charles bridge at sunset/night time is gorgeous! You should totally go up to the castle, of course, and if you get the chance, buy a student priced ticket to see a show at the Estates Theatre – the inside of that theatre is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen, I think. Plus, the tickets are pretty cheap – like, you can probably see a show for 20 EUR.

Prague was one of my favorite cities, while it may be big it is VERY easy to navigate. My friends & I did it without a guide book too! If you can get to the Prague Eiffel tower, climb it, the view is spectacular!!! PLUS everyone is very nice & the majority of people spoke english very well.. so don't hesitate to ask someone for help!! We also found this place called "bohemia bagel" and we went everyday for breakfast it was THAT good, it was near the Charles River Bridge on the way to Lennon's wall. xo L

of course I am sure Charles Bridge is on your to-do…i love all the things you see as you cross it! i absolutely love prague (my grandfather came from there) and my biggest tip…make sure you buy the right ticket for the subway/train. I bought the wrong ticket on accident and right as i got off they checked my ticket and i got a fine! good luck and hope you love it!

YOU might be nervous and everything … but everyone reading this is just super envious.
So, you are required to have fun and cool adventures, so that we can at least sort of feel like we were there 🙂

So jealous! I was in Prague a few summers ago, and it's such a lovely place. If you're worried about subways and trams, fret not! Prague is VERY walkable. My favorite time to roam the city was at dusk/early night time. Something about the Charles Bridge at night was just wonderful. Have so much fun!!

SO excited for you!!!! It is ok. deep breath. YOU are going to have a wonderful time!!! Highlight of travelling alone – you can do whatever YOU want to do!! I hope you have a great, and safe, trip 🙂 I am already looking forward to the photos!! Much love, xoxo
PS – When I don't know what to see, I tend to grab a cup of coffee and casually ask whoever is serving me, "Hey, if you could recommend one thing for me to see in the city, what would it be?" The locals always have the best scoop!
