A close up of a sign
Only one word is needed to describe the proposal-
perfect.It is true.valley below,
mountains above.
just the two of us,
surrounded by the most beautiful place my eyes had ever seen…

Just before he asked me,
I could sense he was nervous.
he was deep in thought,
lost in his own world.

I knew it was coming.

I waited patiently for him to build the courage.
after all, I was just as nervous as him.

It’s not every day that someone asks to spend the rest of their life with you,
for some, it will happen more than once,
but, for many, it happens one time.
one beautiful moment.
a memory that will never fade.

He got down on one knee,
towering mountains behind him,
looked me in my eyes,
smiled,
and said those four beautiful words-
will you marry me?
(among other glorious declarations of love)

for me, the answer was easy,
of course.

Mountain and Valley

A view of a mountain

A view of a mountain

A view of a snow covered mountain

A building with a mountain in the background

A building with a mountain in the background

A man and a woman taking a selfiewe smelled,
and weren’t all dressed up,
but, for us, and our lives,
it was the perfect proposal in the perfect place.I love this man,
for better and for worse,
in sickness and in health.
